If you are looking for one device that can handle everything in terms of playback from digital sources, then the Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition could very well be a contender. You get a complete solution that offers countless features and streaming options. Of online music services, you will find, among others, Tidal, Qobuz, Highresaudio and Amazon Music, all of which provide access to a huge selection of albums, artists and playlists* Operation is done via the 6” large and colorful touch screen, which offers information on everything from artists to albums, sound quality etc. It is also possible to control playback via the free Eversolo Control app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices.

But the Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition is not just for someone who uses online music services. It is also ready to play music that is stored locally. If you have music on your smart device or computer, you can stream wirelessly to the DMP-A6 Master Edition. This can be done via Apple AirPlay or via Bluetooth, which is supported in both AAC, aptX HD as well as LDAC quality.

The device is also DLNA compatible, so you can connect to a DLNA server on your own network. Here you can store your music collection that you have bought, or perhaps copied from your CDs, and play them on the Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition. If you have invested in a Roon server, you can also use the DMP-A6 Master Edition as a Roon endpoint, with the advantages that brings. Another option for playing your local music collection is via a built-in NVME SSD disk. It is not included when you buy the Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition, but it can be easily built in, and it allows for quick and easy access to your music collection, without the need to set up a network hard drive. The player supports a multitude of file formats, including MQA, DSD and high-resolution PCM. If you want to transfer the CD collection to the built-in SSD drive - and you have not already copied them to your computer - you can do so directly via the Eversolo, as it is possible to connect an optical drive via the USB input on the rear.
Android operating system, customized for audio
The Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition is based on a custom Android operating system optimized for sound. Eversolo itself has developed the software they call EOS (Eversolo Original Sampling-rate Engine), which ensures that the sound is processed and processed in the original quality, with support for high resolution from the streaming services that offer this. The main attraction of this streamer, however, must be the 6" large touch screen, which, in addition to information about the music being played, can also display different types of VU meters.
Versatile connectivity
The DMP-A6 Master Edition can be connected to external Hi-Fi devices in several ways. If you have a high-quality external DAC, you can get the digital signal out of the DMP-A6 Master Edition via optical TosLink, coaxial S/PDIF, USB or even HDMI. If you want to connect directly to an amplifier or a set of active speakers, you can do so via the analog XLR or RCA output. The analog outputs can be set as preamplifier outputs, so you can use the DMP-A6 Master Edition as a preamplifier directly in a power stage. The digital-to-analog conversion is handled by 2 pieces of ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chips, which have hardware support for MQA, DSD and PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit.
